Beneficiary Charities

You can play the lottery for either one of our beneficiary charities – these are:-

Combat Stress

A small but significant number of Veterans leave the Armed Forces with psychological wounds. These can lead to depression, phobias, anxiety, relationship problems and, in some cases, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Combat Stress works with Veterans of the British Armed Forces, and members of the Reserve Forces, through effective treatment and support for mental health problems.

Everything that we do is free of charge to the Veteran. Our work is made possible through statutory, non-statutory and voluntary fundraising. We simply couldn’t do what we do without the generosity of the Great British public.

Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund provides a spectrum of care, supporting everyone from children growing up on RAF stations, to those serving today to keep our skies safe, to the veterans who fought for our freedom.

It could be supporting a Second World War pilot in later life, supporting the widow and children of an RAF reservist killed in action, or providing practical help to a young RAF Regiment gunner injured in Afghanistan.

At the RAF Benevolent Fund we also support members of the Air Cadet Organisation (ACO) (including members of the Combined Cadet Force RAF component) if they are injured whilst on duty.

We spend over £18 million each year supporting over 60,000 people, and we rely on you to make it all happen.

Seafarers UK

Seafarers UK is a charity that helps people in the maritime community, by providing vital funding to support seafarers in need and their families.

We do this by giving money to organisations and projects that make a real difference to people’s lives across the Merchant Navy, Fishing Fleets, Royal Navy and Royal Marines.

The services we fund have a positive impact on all seafarers. Last year we gave grants totalling £2.5 million to over 80 maritime welfare charities. Seafarers UK receives no government funding and is heavily dependent on public donations and legacies to maintain its grant-making programme.
